Annual Crash-A-Rama Demolition

 

CONTESTANT REQUIREMENTS & GROUND RULES:

 

1.      ABSOLUTELY/POSITIVELY no alcoholic beverages are permitted on grounds. (All vehicles entering pit area will be checked.) ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND DRUGS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED! If you are noticely introxicated or an aalcohol ordor is detected by a staff member you will be escorted off the grounds and subject to a one year to life suspenion from the Lions grounds and events.

2.   All drivers must be 18 years of age or older. Younger participants must hold a senior drivers' license and have a notarized minors release signed by parents or guardian.

3.   Pit passes/wristbands will be issued only after signing "Release from Liability" forms .all  wrist bands must be worn on wrist and shall be visible at all times. Individuals under 16 years of age are prohibited in pits.

4.   No car may be removed from grounds without proper I.D. All cars MUST be removed by( 1 hour) following the event. BE COURTEOUS TO OUR NEIGHBORS. OPEN SATURDAY 8 Am to 12 noon to retrieve your demo vehicles

5.   All rules and regulations are to be abided by all drivers and pit crew. Unsportsman-like behavior will not be tolerated. If a driver is deemed to be cheating during or in between events he/she will be disqualified subject to a one year suspenion and will not receive any prizes and/or trophies

6.   DOORS and ROOF will be numbered by driver or pit crew of car running. all numbers will be painted on  both front doors and roof of car. Minimun of 12 inch block style lettering must used. All numbers must be assigned by New Alex Lions Officials. NO obscene words or graphics are to be painted on cars.

7.   For Drivers safety: You must wear approved safety helmets face shields and /or goggles should be worn at all timesduring heat. No sunglasses. Seatbelts are required. mWe also recommend and require long pants and long sleeved shirts or coveralls.

8.   All drivers must attend drivers' meeting prior to competing in event. (MANDATORY) Drivers will draw for heats at the drivers meeting

9.   All drivers must be aggressive. No 'SANDBAGGING".  In HEAT races, you will have 60 second time limit (60 seconds in FEATURE races) to restart and make contact with "live" car.

10.Confrontation with the officials will not be tolerated. Drivers are responsible for their pit crews and fans on the property. If a problem occurs Drivers and parties involved may be escorted from the premises and subject to a suspenion from the Lions Events.

11.. The last two (2) running vehicles as ruled by the officials after all other competitors are eliminated, will be declared co-winners. You may only win one (1) heat per event. This will allow more qualifers for the feature.

12. The Feature event will consist of the Top six (6) finishers and the 7th place (provisional vehicle from each heat. Fresh cars will be allowed in the Feature event. The last vehicle to make a hit on an opponent (not the last vehicle running) will be declared the WINNER

13. The  TOP five (5) Feature winners will be eligible to participate in the CHAMPIONSHIP DERBY

(PROVISIONal DRIVERS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP, BUT IF THEY FINISH IN THE TOP five (5) IN THE FEATURE THEY QUALIFY FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP DERBY

14. There will be a minimum of 10 (ten) vehicles per heat to a maximum of 25 cars per heat. If there are not at least 10 vehicles that class will not run!! Maximum 5 (five) heats plus feature per event.
