2010 Rules
DRIVERS MEETING APRIL 3,2010 12 NOON LIONS grds
COMPACT CARS
Must follow preceding rules except:
Compact cars will consist of rear wheel drive cars(106: wheelbase or smaller) Front wheeled drive cars of any wheelbase (EXCEPT FOR 1985and OLDER ELDORDO< TORONADO< AND RIVIERA)
Fuel injected cars may leave stock gas tanks in position for safety. If you move the gas tank inside the car it must be mounted securely. Any hose connection must be done in braided steel line or fuel injection hose clearly marked. All fittings must be double clamped. These rules are for drivers safety as fuel injection systems are pressurized and can brust regular rubber fuel line. No bungee cord or seatbelt may be used for gas tank tie downs. No Ratchet Straps.
Leaf springs: no leaf spring conversions will be permitted. Maximum 5 leafs per side with minimum 2" stair step in cars with factory leafs. Struts may be spacered but must still move and adhere to height limit.
Bumpers: Original Factory Bumpers Shocks must be used, you may put an 80's style bumper on compact (no 60's or 70's)Bumper shocks from compact cars will only be allowed "1 3/4" maximum on tube diameter.
no 80's style bumper shocks. Compact cars must have safety bar behind the driver's seat from post to post, 3" maximum diameter

TRIBUTE TO THE CLASSICS RULES
EVENT WILL CONSIST OF ANY MAKE AND YEAR OF HARDTOP AUTOMOBILES FROM 1960 TO PRESENT
LEAF SPRINGS CONVERSIONS PERMITTED. ALL CONTROL ARMS MUST BE REMOVED ON CONVERSION CARS
may use homemade leaf springs only on tribute to the classics night cars only. Homemade leaf spring must abide by existing rule. No welding of leafs together
CARS MUST BE BUILT TO NEW ALEXANDRIA LIONS RULES
WINNERS OF EVENT WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY FEATURES OR CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE SEASON
PRE REGISTRATION OF $75.00 MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 23, 2010 COST OF REGISTRATION AFTER JULY 23 WILL BE $100.00 (NO EXCEPTIONS)
MONIES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON, UNLESS THE NEW ALEXANDRIA LIONS CANCELS THIS ONE TIME EVENT DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST
IF THE NEW ALEXANDRIA LIONS DO NOT HAVE A MINIMUM OF (12) CARS BY JULY 23, 2010. May be cancelled or monies will be adjusted depending on car count.
PRIZE MONEY FOR CLASSIC EVENT ONLY
1ST PLACE: $2000.00 PLUS TROPHY
2ND PLACE: $1000.00 PLUS TROPHY
3RD PLACE: $250.00 PLUS TROPHY
Team Derby Rules & Payout
Sign ups will begin at the annual beginning of the season drivers meeting on April 3,2010 and all prior demo nites up to June 25,2010
Registration Fee: $150.00 per team (3) cars per team
car rules will follow the current 80's & newer and compact rules
Two Rule Exception
1. Pinning and holding and teamwork will be allowed during team derby. Reminder this is a one time deal!! Teaming is not permitted on any other events!!
2. As the derby proceeds drivers need to be aware of the wave off rule due to possibilities of three against one in the event that should happen.
If our 10 car field for each class is met, we will run two qualifying heats and the feature as our usual demos run. Drivers need to be aware that once car count is met for this special nite event, the usual derby will not run. It all dependson prior signups! The June 25 deadline will allow us to give notice at the folling derby on July 9 as to how it will run. If car count is not met by June 25 signups , our regular derby will run along with a special one time heat event for each class for team derby night. The Team Derby does not qualify for championship night. It is its own event!!!
When you sign up for team derby night you will have to choose a two color paint scheme for your three cars. All three cars must contain those colors. Colors may be picked when you sign up. First come , first served on that decision.
Prizes:
If car count is met, two qualifying heats will run for each class, with the top two teams advancing to feature.
Each co-winning team from the class heat receives $300.00/team (no trophy)
Featurer will consist of those four winning teams from heats and it will be :

80's AND NEWER CLASS- $1500.00 + Three Tropies
COMPACT CLASS-$1000.00 + Three Trophies
TRUCK RULES 2010
In addition to general 80's & newer guidelines:
Bumper Height 12 min/ 28 max
No homemade bumpers (car/truck bumpers only)
No smash top suburban
Must have front/rear driveshaft removed
One ton truck maximum/no utility trucks
Must have minimum two(2) bars from bed floor to cab roof to potect gas tank, but not extending past wheel humps.
Gas to be relocated in bed and secured
Bed sides maybe folded over to bed floor from wheel hump back, but cannot be attached to bed floor in anyway
Frame restub must be same as oringinal
