LAWNMOWER RULES 2010

Drivers must have long sleeve shirt and pants

Helmet must be worn at all times

Must have googles or some sort of eye protection on

Garden or lawn tractor must have a factory frame, no homemade frames

all mowers must have stock factory engines

Transaxles must be factory reinforcing or spider gears are allowed

reinforcing is allowed , but must be inside of hood

Hoods must remain factory, hoods can be screwed down or welded, if hood is fiberglass, you

can make a hood from sheet metal, but must remain the size of the stock fiberglass hood

Brakes must be in operationwhen pulling into the heat race, must also have forward and reverse

 Gas tank must be fastened with the cap on, if it comes loose or gas leaks you will be disqualified.

Leg guards are required before entering the arena and are mandatory, must go from rear fender to front foot rest or frame.

Rear bumper is allowed but the bumper must no bigger than 3 inches wide and can not extend past the tire. If you run a bar behind seat you cannot tie it in with the rear bumper.

Pulleys can be change to increase speed

Drive train modifications are allowed but must stay belt driven

Mower decks must be removed before entrance to pit area, plus all lights and any other plastics must be removed

The front frame under the grill maybe strengthened for hitting but must be a smooth finish, front bumpers are allowed no wider than with of tires(note: this has been modified within the past few days so copies of some rules may state differently)

If a driver rolls over he or she is disqualified if any part of your body touches the ground you will also be disqualified.

IN the event of a roll over the contest will be stopped until the officials get the mower upright

Numbers must somewhere on each side of mower, number may be on helmet also

All the rules as far as when you are in the arena will be explained at the drivers meeting

If a mower doesn't pass inspection or participant refuses to fix something there will be no refunds

OFFICIALS have final say, we reserve the right to check mower after the derby
